Manchester City player Julian Alvarez praised teammate Erling Haaland for his “incredible” performances on the field.
The Argentine player joined the team last year and made his first debut in Premier League in August, scoring his first two goals in the league in a match against Nottingham Forest.
Now, after several months on the team, Alvarez commented on Haaland in an interview with DAZN, saying that “it was incredible to see him on the first day when we were introduced.”
“Then, seeing him on the pitch, with so much technique, he’s fast, he’s strong… He’s been showing it with all the goals he’s scored, not only here at City but at all clubs he’s played for before.
“It’s unbelievable,” he commented.
Alvarez also talked about his World Cup victory with Argentina, and how he was happy to have helped Lionel Messi achieve his lifetime dream.
“I grew up watching him play, he was our idol,” he said.
“The change from seeing him, supporting the National Team, to being at the same level representing the country to bring joy to all the people, to be able to contribute to the team and help Leo to achieve what he sought so much during all these years is an enormous satisfaction. A joy for me and a great pride.”
