Kane’s only goal in the first half was enough for Tottenham to score three points against Fulham on Monday night.
First half
Tottenham decided to wait and play defensively at the start, conceding some space to Fulham. Reid had the first good occasion for Fulham with a shot from the distance, which was saved by Lloris though.
Tottenham also got its first chance with Davies, whose shot from inside the box finished just high over the crossbar
Fulham was once again dangerous in the 19th minute, Pereira fired a cross in for Reed, who shot from close range. However, Lloris saved with a miracle.
Tottenham struggled to create occasion, then Kane, in the 33rd minute, tried a long-range shot, which finished high, though.
Fulham managed to be dangerous once again. This time it was Willian who shot from an interesting position, but his attempt was too central and Lloris saved.
Right at the end of the first half, Tottenham scored to make it 0-1. It was Kane, who stopped the ball, managed to turn around just outside the box, and fired a shot in the low right corner.
Second half
Kane proved to be dangerous once again with a header, which was brilliantly saved by Leno, though.
Fulham pushed forward trying to tie the game, but Tottenham held tight.
In minute 74, Mitrovic had the occasion to equalize with a header, which finished too high. Fulham was building up the players well, but it just missed the last pass to make everything perfect.
Tottenham, however, was not just sitting there watching Fulham control the game. The Spurs still created occasions, like the one of Kane, whose shot from close range finished just wide.
In the 88th minute, Lloris had to make yet another incredible save to keep the clean sheet and the win for Tottenham after a good attempt from the right by Solomon.
