Erling Haaland has scored a hat-trick for Manchester City against Wolves, claiming the victory of the game.
The Wolves stood their ground to City in the opening minutes of the match. The Citizens made great attempts toward their opponent’s net, but all were blocked by Sa.
Then, in the 40th minute, Erling Haaland scored. The striker received the ball from De Bruyne, who had caught it from Mahrez who was pressuring the Wolves players in the run toward the net.
Then, minutes later, the referee awarded a penalty to Manchester City following a foul from Collins on Grealish. The replays showed the Wolves player kicking the Englishman’s leg from behind as he went down. However, after a review from the VAR, the penalty was dismissed.
The first half then finished with City in the lead 1-0 against Wolves, thanks to the goal from Haaland.
The second half of the game saw an even greater start to City. Haaland scored the second goal by penalty, as Wolves’ Neves fouled Gundogan inside the penalty box.
Then, four minutes later, the number 9 striker for City achieved the hat-trick – Haaland scored the third goal of the match, as he received the ball from Mahrez with the keeper trying to block him.
In the end, and after an invalidated goal for City, the match ended in a 3-0 against Wolves, with a hat-trick from Haaland.
