Wolff: Talking about Horner a waste of time in my life

Mercedes team principal Toto Wolff said Red Bull boss Christian Horner is obsessed with him.

The relationship between the two team bosses has always been spicy, even more so in recent years as Max Verstappen fought against Lewis Hamilton to become a Formula 1 World Champion.

Things declined during the 2021 season when both teams -and drivers- were very competitive against each other, which caused several incidents, including those at Silverstone (where Hamilton made contact with Verstappen, who heavily crashed into the Copse barrier), and Italy (where the Red Bull car finished on top of the Mercedes, with the race finishing in a McLaren 1-2).

Speaking to The Times, Wolff talked about his relationship with Horner, saying that he is “living in his head rent-free.”

“The guy is obsessed [with me],” he continued.

“Every second that I spend on talking about Horner is a waste of time in my life.”
