After controlling the game while being one goal ahead thanks to Fernandes, Manchester United could not hold on to the win, as Olise tied in the 90th minute.
First half
Manchester United started off strong, keeping possession and trying to be offensive. Crystal Palace, however, managed to defend and was not shy, trying to find ways to score, too.
In the 22nd minute, Antony received a superb long ball and tried to surprise Guaita with a lob shot. The ball finished just outside, but it was a reasonable effort by United, while Crystal Palace could not find the rhythm.
In the 30th minute, Weghorst had an interesting occasion. After a cross by Luke Shaw, the striker tried to score with a header, but the ball finished just high.
Crystal Palace showed it was alive in the 40th minute with Edouard. The number 22 shot and it took de Gea a miracle, and a bit of luck to save it, as the ball also hit the crossbar.
In the 43rd minute, however, Bruno Fernandes made it 0-1 for United. The number 8 was left alone in the box and after controlling the ball, he sent his shot into the far right corner.
Second half
In the second half, the game resumed with both teams creating occasions, but not dangerous ones. Then, in the 56th minute, a fan entered the field and the game was stopped for about a minute.
In the 72nd minute, Manchester United claimed a penalty, but after checking the VAR, the referee did not assign it.
Just three minutes later, Crystal Palace had another occasion to tie the game with Guehi, but de Gea made another miracle.
Right at the end, in the 90th minute, Crystal Palace tied the game. A wonderful free kick by Olise, who shot a rocket under the crossbar to equalize the match. De Gea could do nothing against such an amazing, and perfect free kick.
Then, both teams went near to scoring again, but the result remained the same as one point was awarded to each formation.
