Chelsea has officially announced that Mykhailo Mudryk has joined the team on a long-term deal.
Mudryk, who was linked to a move to Arsenal for months, also appeared in Chelsea’s sphere of interest recently. On Saturday, Mudryk’s former club Shakhtar confirmed that the parties were in talks and “were very close to agree on the transfer”.
On Sunday, the 22-year-old visited Chelsea’s Premier League game against Crystal Palace at Stamford Bridge. He then went out to the field before the second half of the game, wearing a Chelsea shirt with a Ukrainian flag as a cape.
The Ukrainian signed an 8-and-a-half-year-long contract.
