Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta urges his team to stay “realistic” in the battle for the Premier League title.
Arsenal is currently leading the Premier League standings with 43 points. The Gunners have a seven-point advantage over Manchester City who is sitting in 2nd place.
Nevertheless, Arteta believes that the team needs to remain “realistic”.
“It’s not about stopping anybody; it’s about being realistic where we are. The way we are performing, obviously it’s impressive and we are really happy with that. But, as well, we set the objectives in the short term and what we want to improve and what is making us win that many football matches,” he said.
When asked about his goals for 2023, Arteta replied: “To win against Newcastle [on Tuesday]. And then the next one and then the next one. That is the dream.”
