Chinese GP may take place in 2023

The Chinese Grand Prix might return to the Formula 1 calendar and take place in 2023, according to recent reports.

It was confirmed in December that the Chinese GP would not take place for the fourth time in a row due to the COVID-19 restrictions. However, the situation might change in the near future.

The Chinese authorities are set to lift are quarantine restrictions for international arrivals from January 8. Furthermore, some of China’s biggest sports leagues have events with fans again.

RacingNews365.com reported that Chinese GP promoter Juss Sports had made a proposal to F1 to have the race at the Shanghai International Circuit on April 16, 2023, its original date.
