Manchester City manager Josep Guardiola revealed that he had warned Erling Haaland after his hard tackle on Everton’s Vitaliy Mykolenko.

Haaland made a sliding tackle on Mykolenko at the of the first half of Man City’s game against Everton on Saturday. The striker was handed a yellow card, though he could have been sent off.

Guardiola said after the game that he had told Haaland to play carefully.

“I will talk with Haaland about that. It was a yellow card, definitely. With the yellow for Erling, I said be careful because it can be dangerous. We cannot play 10 v 11. He was a little bit angry after what happened in the first action with his ankle. He reacted well and we did a good game,” he said.
