Al Hilm will be present in the last three matches of the World Cup and only Argentina, Croatia, Morocco, and France will have the honor of using it in their respective duels.
One day after the names of the four teams that will play the semifinals of the Qatar 2022 World Cup were known, and in the midst of the long wait until the penultimate date in which Croatia and Argentina will face each other, Adidas presented the ball that they will use both in this instance and in the final on December 18.
Al Hilm will be the new protagonist of this story. After playing all five games with Al Rhila, now Croats, French, Moroccans, and Argentines will have this new ball between their feet whose meaning is “The Dream” in Arabic.
The ball in question carries the same technology as the one that its predecessor had both inside and out, since it is designed to provide maximum speed by being manufactured with a material that allows it to travel faster through the air.
The most important difference is the color of this one and the other. Al Hilm mutated away from white to a textured gold with a triangular pattern inspired by the glistening deserts of the region that encircles the city and the color of the FIFA World Cup trophy.
The second color that predominates in the new ball that will be used in the semifinals and final is burgundy, which reflects the generative architecture, as well as the flag of the host country.
Among its peculiarities, it should be noted that the ball was designed from the inside out and has the same shapes and textures as Al Rihla: made with CRT-Core (improves speed and precision) and Speedshell (polyurethane that forms microtextures and macrotextures).
It should be remembered that, like the one used so far, the ball was designed with the environment in mind as it has water-based inks and glues.
Al Hilm will make its presentation next Tuesday starting at ten o’clock at night (in Qatar) at the Lusail Stadium when Lionel Messi’s Argentina and Luka Modric’s Croatia meet for the first semifinal of the tournament. Later, the next day and at the same time, France will do the same with Morocco.
