Right at the last breath, Iran scored two goals past Wales. A deserved win for what they have shown during the game.
Iran restarted the second half in the best way possible. In minute 51, Azmoun hit the post, and right after that, Gholizadeh’s shot had the same outcome. Not only that, after the ball had hit the post, Azmoun tried to score with a header, but the goalkeeper made a miracle and saved the shot.
Wales was not able to put Iran under pressure, and the latter kept attacking and trying to score.
At the 72-minute mark, Saeid Ezatolahi shot from the distance, but Wales’ goalkeeper still kept the team alive with a great save.
Wales also went close to scoring with a shot from the distance, but the goalkeeper slightly touched the ball and saved it.
In minute 85, Wales’ goalkeeper hit an Iranian striker outside the box and stopped a possible goal occasion. After consulting the VAR, the referee showed him the red card, leaving Wale’s formation with only ten players.
In minute 98, Iran scored an incredible goal with Rouzbeh Cheshmi. Wales tried to tie the game and left a lot of space for Iran, which scored twice in minute 101 with Ramin Rezaian.
