Logan Sargeant has collected enough superlicense points to secure promotion to Formula 1 with Williams.

During the United States GP race weekend, Williams CEO and team principal Jost Capito stated that Sargeant would take the vacant 2023 Williams seat if he got the superlicense.

Sargeant was 6th in the Formula 2 Sprint Race in Abu Dhabi and 5th in the Feature Race. As a result, the American driver finished the season in 4th place in the standings.

This gives Sargeant 30 superlicense points, and together with the 20 points received for having finished 3rd in the 2020 F3 season, makes him eligible to be granted the superlicense.

Williams has not made an official announcement on Sargeant’s future at the time of writing.
