Teams and drivers had one more hour of practice at the Yas Marina Circuit before qualifying later in the day.

Aston Martin teammates Lance Stroll and Sebastian Vettel were the first to hit the track in FP3.

Charles Leclerc reported that he briefly lost control over the rear of his car at turn 2 because of bottoming.

Lando Norris had to return to the pits after smoke appeared in his front left brake. Daniel Ricciardo and Sebastian Vettel encountered the same problem.

Pierre Gasly had an issue that triggered a front right tire failure at the exit of turn 9. The Frenchman had to pit, and the session was red-flagged to allow the marshals to remove debris.

It was confirmed that the incident of Lewis Hamilton allegedly failing to slow down under the red flag would be investigated by the stewards after the session.

Sergio Perez topped the timesheets of FP3. His teammate Max Verstappen was second, and Lewis Hamilton finished the practice in third place.
