Juan Manuel Correa will make his Formula 2 return with Van Amersfoort Racing in Abu Dhabi this weekend.
Correa competed in Formula 3 this season. The 23-year-old drove for ART GP and ended the season 13th in the standings with 39 points scored. He had a podium finish at Zandvoort. Correa also participated in two ELMS races with PREMA.
It will be Correa’s first appearance in an F2 race weekend since Belgium in 2019 where he was involved in an accident that took Anthoine Hubert’s life and injured Correa himself.
“We are excited to announce Juan Manuel Correa’s return to the F2 grid! Taking the wheel of our no. 24 car, he will join his VAR teammate Amaury Cordeel for the final round of the FIA F2 Championship, taking place this weekend at the Yas Marina Circuit,” the Van Amersfoort Racing statement read.
