Esteban Ocon set the quickest lap time of the second free practice session of the Sao Paulo Grand Prix.
After an action-packed qualifying on Friday, the race weekend at Interlagos continued with FP2 on Saturday.
Logan Sargeant replaced Alexander Albon at Williams during the session to get more time behind the wheel of an F1 car and earn a point for his superlicense. The American driver completed the necessary distance and earned the point.
The drivers had different practice programs, and, as a result, were on different tire compounds and fuel loads.
Nicholas Latifi went off the track at the exit of turn 12, bringing out the yellow flags. The Canadian rejoined the track without significant damage to his car.
Halfway through the session, Esteban Ocon was at the top of the standings with George Russell and Lewis Hamilton behind.
Latifi was not happy with Sergio Perez impeding him while leaving the pit lane.
Ocon remained in 1st place at the checkered flag. Perez was second, and Russell completed the top 3 of the session.
