Aston Martin was handed a $450k fine for having committed a procedural cost cap violation, announced on Friday.
The FIA revealed earlier this month that Aston Martin had violated the cost cap rules in 2021. The Silverstone-based squad had a procedural breach.
On Friday, it was announced that Aston Martin had signed an Accepted Breach Agreement to resolve the matter.
According to the ABA, Aston Martin failed to provide in their reporting documentation the correct information about the costs of certain services.
As a punishment, Aston Martin will have to pay a $450k fine to the FIA within 30 days of the date of the execution of the ABA. Moreover, they will have to cover the costs spent by the Cost Cap Administration during the preparation of the document.
