Daniel Ricciardo claims that he has not signed a deal to become a reserve driver for an F1 team for the 2023 season.
Ricciardo will leave McLaren after this season, one year before his contract was originally set to expire. Later on, the Australian admitted that he will not be on the F1 grid in 2023.
At the same time, Ricciardo stated that “you will see me around” in 2023. One of the options for him is to join a team as a reserve driver. During Sky Sports’ coverage of the US GP qualifying, Ted Kravitz said that the 33-year-old had signed a deal and could be heading to Red Bull Racing.
When asked whether he had signed a reserve driver contract for 2023, Ricciardo replied: “I don’t, I don’t. For now, everything is just rumors.
“Am I talking? Yes. But there’s no pen on paper or anything like that yet.”
