Lando Norris thinks that it is “pretty clear” that Alpine have a faster car than McLaren this season.
Alpine and McLaren are having a close battle for 4th place in the Constructors’ Championship throughout the season. Ahead of the United States GP, the Enstone-based outfit has a 13-point advantage.
Esteban Ocon and Fernando Alonso scored a big amount of points for Alpine in Japan by finishing 4th and 7th respectively. Meanwhile, Norris and Daniel Ricciardo crossed the finish line in P10 and P11.
“It was a good race for them. Yeah, simple as that. They [Alpine] are performing well,” Norris said.
“They’re very quick, they have been since race one this year. We’re putting up a good fight, I feel like we are doing a very good job.”
When asked which team has a quicker car, Norris replied: “I think it’s pretty clear… but not us.”
