The FIA confirmed that Red Bull Racing and Aston Martin are the two teams that violated the budget cap regulations in the 2021 F1 season.
Reports emerged ahead of the Singapore GP race weekend that Red Bull and Aston Martin failed to comply with the budget cap last year.
The FIA originally planned to release the Certificates of Compliance for F1 teams on October 5th but delayed the process until October 10th.
On Monday, the federation released information on how the teams complied with the cost cap. The FIA confirmed that Aston Martin had a procedural breach, while Red Bull committed both procedural and minor overspending breaches.
The FIA also announced that the Cost Cap Administration is “currently determining the appropriate course of action to be taken” concerning both teams.
