Mercedes driver Lewis Hamilton hopes there will be a Safety Car at the Italian Grand Prix that will benefit him.
The 7-time World Champion will start Sunday’s race from the 19th position due to penalties for a new Power Unit. Speaking before the race, he said he hopes there will be a Safety Car that will help him achieve better results.
“I hope that there’s Safety Cars and all those sorts of things,” Hamilton said.
“I’ve been so unfortunate with the Safety Car timings this year, it would be nice to have a nice Safety Car offering tomorrow.
“I was thinking of just taking my iPad with me in the race and when I’m in the DRS line, watch the new Games of Thrones,” he joked.
Hamilton’s teammate, George Russell, will start today’s race from the 2nd position.
