Ferrari stated that they are “monitoring” Mick Schumacher’s performance after reports regarding his exit from the Ferrari Driver Academy have appeared.
Schumacher joined the FDA in 2019. Since then, the German won the Formula 2 title and got a Haas F1 seat.
Reports emerged earlier on Tuesday that Schumacher will leave the FDA at the conclusion of the 2022 season and become a free agent.
Schumacher’s contract with Haas is expiring this year. Though there has been no official information regarding the German’s future with the team, it is expected that he will leave the outfit.
Ferrari spokesperson commented on the matter: “Mick is part of the FDA family and we never give away details about our drivers’ contract.
“We are monitoring his season and will decide together what is best for him, later in the season.”
