Alexander Albon stated that Williams have performed well the entire Belgian GP race weekend.
After P9 in qualifying, Albon started the race in P6 following grid penalties for several drivers in front. The Williams driver managed to hold off his opponents and crossed the finish line in 10th place.
After the race, Albon praised Williams’ performance at Spa-Francorchamps.
“On the final stint, I was thinking about three-stopping, but we held on and kept Lance [Stroll] behind,” he said.
“Then it was about not making any mistakes, and I think as a whole we executed the weekend from FP1 well and maximized the positive of our car being quick on the straights.
“We experimented, made the best of the tires in qualifying, and maximized the results potential in the race.
“We had a complete weekend, and that’s what it shows: when you don’t have the fastest car, but you do everything right, you can still come away with a point or two.”
