Yuki Tsunoda will start Sunday’s Belgian Grand Prix from the pit lane after having received new power unit components.
Tsunoda has joined the list of drivers that got new power unit elements at Spa-Francorchamps. The AlphaTauri driver has a new internal combustion engine, turbocharger, MGU-H, and MGU-K. Tsunoda has exceeded the limit on all these components before. He has also received a fresh exhaust system, his sixth of eight allowed.
However, the changes have been made without the approval of the FIA technical delegate. As a result, Tsunoda will begin the race from the pit lane.
