Red Bull’s Sergio Perez said starting the Belgian Grand Prix from second place is “not the worst.”
The Mexican driver qualified third but will start tomorrow’s race in second place as his teammate, Max Verstappen, who dominated the qualifying session, has got a penalty for PU changes.
Speaking after the session, Perez said P2 is not as bad. “P2 is certainly not the worst place to be here. If I get a good run against Carlos, I can be on the other side fast.
“I’m looking forward to tomorrow,” he continued, “I think we have an interesting race ahead of us.
“It’s really important to get a good start and to drive our own race from the beginning. We’ll see tomorrow.”
