Liam Lawson stated that he “loved every second” of his first official Grand Prix session.

Lawson made his Grand Prix weekend debut in the Belgian GP FP1 with AlphaTauri. The 20-year-old finished the session in P19.

Lawson revealed that he had enjoyed the session but wished he had had a Soft tire run.

“As a driver, it’s my first time, so I was extremely appreciative and I loved every second of it,” he said.

“But for sure I was a little bit frustrated not to get back out again on Softs. I think I spent the first half of the session getting used to the car and, to be honest, by mid-session, I felt quite comfortable. So I was definitely ready to have a good crack on Softs.”
