George Russell said his team will come back to “fight for victories” after the summer break ends with the Belgian Grand Prix.
Russell qualified in Pole position for today’s Hungarian Grand Prix but failed to achieve the victory of the race, only finishing third behind his teammate Lewis Hamilton.
Speaking after the race, Russell explained he struggled when it started to rain during the race, but ended on a positive note by stating his team will fight for victories after the summer break.
“It was a good first sting then on the last stint on mediums when it started raining, I started to struggle and lost temperature,” he said.
“Another double podium is so great from the team. We are improving. It’s been intense and the break will do everyone good, and we will come back and fight for victories.”
