Red Bull Racing teammates Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez got new power units for the Hungarian Grand Prix.
Verstappen had a loss of power at the end of Q3 on Saturday that did not allow him to set a representative lap time.
Ahead of Sunday’s race, the Dutchman received a new internal combustion engine, turbocharger, MGU-H, MGU-K, and exhaust system. Perez got the same elements. The limit of used components has not been exceeded, so they will not get grid penalties.
Pierre Gasly was another driver with the Red Bull Powertrains engine who had got new elements. However, he has gone over the limit and will start the race from the pit lane.
