Max Verstappen was left frustrated after qualifying for the Hungarian Grand Prix, as he suffered from power issues throughout the session.

The Dutch driver experienced issues with his engine in Q3, and was unable to perform better than the rest, achieving a P10 result for tomorrow’s starting grid. Speaking after the session, he made it clear it was an “extremely frustrating” session that could have been a great result for him.

“There was just no power when I drove out of the pits,” he told Viaplay. “I haven’t been to the team yet to see what it was.

“It’s extremely frustrating because it looked like there was something to gain.”

When asked if he thinks Pole position would have been possible without the issues in qualifying, he replied: “I think so.”

“Especially after Q2 when it looked like the speed was good; then [it would have been] possible.”
