Red Bull Racing advisor Helmut Marko confirmed that the team will continue the development of their 2022 challenger.
Red Bull have a significant advantage in both championships after the French GP. Max Verstappen is 63 points clear of Charles Leclerc in the Drivers’ Championship, while Red Bull have an 82-point gap ahead of Ferrari in the Constructors’ Championship.
Nevertheless, Red Bull plan to keep improving the RB18 car, according to Marko.
“We are constantly developing; that is the DNA of Red Bull Racing,” he told Motorsport-Total.
“They won’t be as serious, but there will be updates well into the second half of the season. We have to wait and see what they look like.”
At the same time, Marko admits that both Red Bull drivers will exceed the limit of used power units this season and receive grid penalties as a result.
“That will come for us as well and we just have to choose a track where you can overtake relatively well.
“If you look at the next races, you will certainly come to a track that we have chosen.”
