Max Verstappen hopes to achieve better results at tomorrow’s French Grand Prix after qualifying second behind Charles Leclerc.

The Red Bull driver didn’t manage to claim pole position but is still confident that his car will be able to achieve a winning performance in tomorrow’s main event.

“FP3 is not qualifying clearly,” Verstappen said. “We were lacking a bit of grip in qualifying. It was a bit trickier than what I had hoped, but overall we still have a decent race car and hopefully, it will come in our favor.

“We are quicker on the straights, so hopefully we can use that. We’ll see about tomorrow. It will be hot and they [Ferrari] will be quick.”
