Sergio Perez admitted his weekend at the French Grand Prix was the ‘worst’ until the qualifying session.

The Red Bull driver achieved third place in qualifying for the French GP after struggling massively in the previous practice sessions. The Mexican is now confident about his performance and hopes to beat Ferrari in tomorrow’s race.

“It’s been a good recovery, I was struggling a lot,” he said. “It was my worst weekend up to qualifying.

“We recovered well. We’ll try to beat those red cars [Ferrari] who were very strong today.”
