Haas team principal Guenther Steiner is happy with Mick Schumacher’s performance in latest races and wants him to keep momentum.
Schumacher scored his first F1 points at the British GP, when he finished 8th at Silverstone. A week later, the German was 6th at the Austrian GP. Schumacher is now 15th in the Drivers’ Championship with 12 points scored.
“Everybody has to prove himself and he’s doing good in the moment,” Steiner commented on Schumacher’s results.
“Hopefully he will still [get] better, because we need it for the team [and] we need to make points.”
At the same time, Steiner admitted that the decision regarding Schumacher’s future is yet to be made.
“What does it do for his future? I don’t really know yet; it’s early to talk about the future.
“We haven’t decided on the drivers and we never did before the summer break, as you well know.
“We will decide after the summer break and see, but I don’t know what else he’s up to.”
