Red Bull Racing team principal Christian Horner believes that track limits will cause even more trouble for drivers during the French GP.
A total of 43 warnings regarding track limits violations were issued during the Austrian GP last Sunday. Furthermore, Lando Norris, Guanyu Zhou, Pierre Gasly, and Sebastian Vettel were each given five-second time penalties for that.
Horner thinks that track limits will be an even bigger challenge at the Circuit Paul Ricard because of its nature.
“I think the problem is the nature of the circuit invites the drivers to use the track limits. And of course, there were many, many drivers that were infringing that over the weekend,” he said.
“I think my concern isn’t so much here [at the Red Bull Ring], I think Ricard will be a bigger issue in that there is a genuine time gain to be had. And obviously, you’ve got acres of tarmac there, so it’s just inviting you to run offline.”
