Sebastian Vettel revealed that he would discuss his future in Formula 1 with his family “in the next few weeks.”

Vettel’s contract with Aston Martin is expiring this year. The German confirmed that he would make the decision given the team’s performance in 2022.

Vettel provided an update on the matter recently and stated that the decision would be made in the near future.

“The decision is still pending, but I will think about it in the coming weeks,” Vettel told Sport1.

“Of course, it also depends on the direction in which the car develops [and] how much potential I see in the team.

“I’ve already stressed several times that I want to fight for points, but also for victories. Otherwise the fun is lost.

“So, in the next few weeks, together with my family, I’ll have to figure out how realistic my goals are, and how much energy I still feel inside me to continue growing together with the team.”
