Valtteri Bottas will begin Sunday’s Austrian Grand Prix from the pit lane, while Fernando Alonso has got a new power unit.
Bottas was originally set to start the race from the back of the grid after having exceeded the number of used power unit components this season. However, the Finn will now begin the race from the pit lane. The reason for that is the fact that the rear wing assembly as well as the set-up of the suspension have been modified.
Furthermore, Alonso has received new power unit elements ahead of the race. The Spaniard has already used more components than allowed, so he was given a grid penalty. It does not affect his position on the starting grid as Alonso has not started the Sprint on Saturday.
