Mercedes changed Lewis Hamilton’s chassis following his crash at the Austrian Grand Prix qualifying session.
The British driver crashed out of qualifying through turn 7, as he lost the rear of his car and went into the gravel to finally impact the barriers.
Hamilton was not the only one to crash out of the session, as so did his teammate George Russell just after the session was restarted.
“A lot of damage,” team principal Toto Wolff said.
“I think we have two floors, two boxes that we need to check, a rear wing… lots of little bits and pieces.
“Yesterday in the garage in the early evening it looked like somebody dropped a Lego car on the floor, and the mechanics are doing great work.”
