Charles Leclerc is hopeful he will improve his performance following five ‘disastrous’ races he’s not happy with.
The Monegasque has had difficult performances recently, the latest at Silverstone where he was left disappointing after missing out on the victory to his teammate Carlos Sainz.
Leclerc was visited by team principal Mattia Binotto in Monaco during the week in an attempt to raise his morale.
The Ferrari driver has qualified 2nd for tomorrow’s Sprint race. Speaking after the qualifying session, he said he hopes for a good race this weekend.
“I just want to drive a clean race,” he said. “There have been five races that have been a bit of a disaster from my side, so I just hope that everything goes well and that we can finally score the points we deserve.
“All three of us were very close to each other,” he commented about qualifying specifically.
“On the last lap I struggled a little bit bringing the tires back after such a long time in the pits, but Max was just a little bit faster, so my congratulations to him.”
