The Mercedes team is hoping they’ll achieve a podium finish at today’s British Grand Prix.
The duo of Lewis Hamilton and George Russell qualified P5 and P8 respectively, and are hoping to make it to the top three of the race at Silverstone.
“We will try and go out there and put on a show and bring home some silverware,” Russell said pre-race.
“The cars ahead are just a bit faster than us. We will have to do something special but try to bring some good results for them [the fans].”
On the other hand, Hamilton remains realistic and admits the cars in front are faster, but he hopes the strategy will bring him a podium result.
“I hope we can do a good job today,” he said. “We will give it everything.
“We need to be realistic that the cars ahead are a bit faster but we can hopefully do something through strategy to get a podium.”
