Sergio Perez has spoken with the media after retiring from the Canadian Grand Prix due to engine issues.
The Mexican retired on lap 9 of the race. Speaking with ESPN Latin America after the race, Perez said the reliability issues keep hurting Red Bull.
“A bummer, everything went wrong this weekend, and well, especially on Sunday, it hurts,” he said. “We keep struggling with reliability issues and today it hurts quite a lot.”
In terms of what happened with his car, Perez said: “I lost drive, so I was left completely on neutral and the car wouldn’t go.
“A bummer to have lost this race, everything was going well, we had a good strategy and we had everything necessary to recover.”
