Max Verstappen is confident his performance for the Azerbaijan Grand Prix will improve after qualifying third for tomorrow’s race.

The Red Bull driver admitted to making some mistakes through the qualifying session, as well as having trouble finding the correct balance around a lap. However, he is confident tomorrow’s race will improve.

“I think the beginning of the lap was good, then it fell off a bit for me,” he said post-session.

“I made a few small mistakes, so it wasn’t ideal, but I just had a bit of trouble finding the balance in one lap. This is obviously not what I want, but as a team, we have a good chance for tomorrow with second and third place.”
