Mick Schumacher has revealed how issues he faced on Friday affect his performance at the Azerbaijan Grand Prix.

Schumacher had a difficult start to the race weekend in Baku. FP1 ended early for him due to water leak. In FP2, the German was 19th, 3.2 seconds away from the leader.

“It affects me in the way that I have 25 laps less than everybody else which, on a street track like this and with these new cars, is very valuable, so that’s not optimal,” Schumacher commented on the problems.

“FP2 was also far from optimal as we had a few issues here and there which meant less driving overall as well and you get into a position which leaves you with question marks going into Saturday.”
