FP3 started 15 minutes later than scheduled. Some drivers left their garages to have installation laps.
George Russell was the first driver to set a lap time. Shortly after, Charles Leclerc took over the lead in the session.
Mercedes’ struggles continued on Saturday afternoon as both Lewis Hamilton and George Russell had to deal with lack of rear grip.
Several drivers went wide off the track, but there were not any big incidents throughout the practice.
Ferrari and Red Bull drivers were exchanging fastest laps, and it was Sergio Perez who was on top of the standings. Leclerc was second, only seven-hundredths away from the Mexican. Max Verstappen had a chance to set the quickest lap, but was impeded during his attempt and finished the session third.
