Red Bull Racing team principal Christian Horner believes that they will be competitive at the Azerbaijan Grand Prix on Sunday.

Sergio Perez and Max Verstappen finished 2nd and 3rd in Saturday’s qualifying respectively. Red Bull duo has taken two pole positions altogether this year, but at the same time has won five races, showing their strong race pace.

Horner thinks that the Milton Keynes-based outfit will be in race win contention in Baku.

“We’re totally focused on Sunday, but I think there is always a trade-off that you’re going to make between outright one-lap pace,” he told¬†ViaPlay.

“I think Ferrari have had that in the last few races but I think our race pace has tended to be pretty good.

“Checo [Perez] is on that Monaco wave of confidence and even without a tow he did a good lap there, and Max is right up there as well. I still think we can race well from that.”
