Red Bull Racing team principal Christian Horner believes that Sergio Perez is “driving at a very high level” this year.
Perez is currently 3rd in the Drivers’ Championship with 66 points scored. The Mexican took his maiden pole position in Saudi Arabia and was the runner-up in Australia and Emilia Romagna. Horner was pleased with Perez’s performance at the start of the season.
“He [Perez] is driving at a very high level,” he said.
“He’s more comfortable in the team this year. I think the car suits him better this year. It doesn’t have some of the peculiarities that the previous probably three cars of ours had.
“We’re happy with the job he’s doing.”
