Red Bull team principal Christian Horner is confident Max Verstappen will make up for the lost time on Friday’s practices.
The Dutch driver encountered numerous issues throughout the first two practices at the Miami Grand Prix, which complicated his ability to lap the circuit.
Speaking ahead of FP3, his team boss said he is confident Verstappen will catch up from yesterday’s problems.
“We had a horrible day with Max yesterday on track, but I think we’ve understood those issues,” Horner said.
“I think that, looking at FP3, we’ll probably do a few more laps than normal, just to get into the circuit,” he later told Sky Sports F1.
“You know, with a street circuit, you’ve just got to find your way into it.
“But we know how good Max is at adapting to new venues, so we’re sure he’ll catch that time up.”
