Michael Andretti states that his meeting with the FIA President Mohammed Ben Sulayem regarding potential F1 entry has been “positive.”
Earlier this year Mario Andretti revealed that his son Michael had an intention to field an F1 team in 2024. However, he “was awaiting the FIA’s determination.”
Michael Andretti met with Ben Sulayem in Miami to discuss the matter and shared his thoughts about the talk later on.
“I think he [Ben Sulayem] is in support, but there’s a big process that’s got to go through and all that stuff,” he said.
“He said he’s in support in the process. There’s still a long way to go. But it’s nice, Mohammed liked what we presented.
“I don’t want to say too much, they don’t want to talk about it too much. But positive things.”
