Helmut Marko states that Max Verstappen’s performance at the Emilia Romagna GP shows that his “superiority” has returned.
Verstappen was unreachable at Imola last weekend. He was the quickest in qualifying, won the Sprint despite a bad start as well as the Grand Prix, having led from start to finish and set the fastest lap. The Dutchman scored 34 points and moved up to P2 in the Drivers’ Championship. Marko praised his performance.
“Max drove a superior race with incredible confidence,” the Red Bull Racing advisor told Sport1.
“He got the fastest lap, pole, victory in the Sprint, [and] led from start to finish [in the Grand Prix]. I don’t know if this combination ever existed.
“I don’t want to say that he was restless before, but now the superiority is back.”
