Christian Horner believes that the battle between Red Bull Racing and Ferrari will continue at the Miami Grand Prix.
Red Bull had a strong race weekend at Imola with a 1-2 finish last Sunday. Furthermore, the Milton Keynes-based outfit capitalized on Ferrari’s misfortunes and reduced the gap in the Constructors’ Championship to 11 points.
Horner has spoken about the importance of the Imola success.
“The DNFs have been costly, particularly for Max. But it’s a long, long season and I think we’ll take a lot of confidence out of this weekend,” the Red Bull team principal said.
“In the championship, obviously, it was important for us to take some points off Ferrari, which we’ve done in both championship tables. So we’ll take that out of this weekend and then try and build on it in Miami at an all-new circuit a couple of weeks time.”
Horner also predicts that Ferrari will be among the favorites at the Miami GP next week.
“It’ll be, again, horses for courses. Ferrari have got a great car, they got great drivers.
“They’ve been unlucky at this race. But for sure they’re going to be super-competitive in two weeks time. And I think it’ll be like that for the whole season.”
