Sergio Perez believes that Red Bull Racing have made “fundamental” mistakes that affect their results at the start of the season.

Despite having one of the quickest cars on the grid, Red Bull are facing reliability issues. Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez have had three retirements altogether in the opening three races of the season. Perez has commented on Red Bull’s problems.

“It was a good result, certainly, but [we’ve got] a lot of work to do,” he said.

“I think at these first three races, we’ve been quite unlucky, with [the double DNF in] Bahrain, with [the Safety Car in] Jeddah, but today [Sunday] was a bit of a concern.

“I think we got a few things quite wrong, fundamentally, [so there are] a lot of things that we have to review going forward.”
