Andreas Seidl has reflected on McLaren’s problems at the start of the 2022 F1 season.
McLaren have not started the season the way they hoped. They faced issues with a lack of downforce and brakes temperature that affected the car’s performance. As a result, the Woking-based outfit only managed to score 6 points in the first two races.
When asked if the opponents prepared better for the rules change, the McLaren team principal said: “It’s quite a straightforward answer.
“In the end, we have to accept that other teams did a better job than us over the winter – that’s why we are where we are.
“That’s what we acknowledged quite quickly, within the team. It’s very important to be crystal clear on that, and use the frustration that we’ve seen and switch it into energy to strike back as quickly as possible.”
